_oh boy, we had so many meetings this week for various reasons, online and in person, and majority of them did lead to somewhere 😀 aaand not just meetings but also events at the same time!

_Ben had his presentation on Wednesday where he talked with engineering leads in the company about his project and they were intrigued 🙂 after that, he had to tie up a few loose ends but started to have meetings with the future in mind so so he asked hard questions from his colleagues 😀 I had a few meetings for Vitruvian, UniMelb and SCC, but I think this week WTF podcast got to shine, because a US-based news agency reached out that they want to help spread the word about the podcast (and I don’t have to pay!!!), we had the 300th panel conversation recording which was a blast and I am getting to finish my backlog with editing 🙂

_outside of work, we had our PhD lunch on Friday with Manow and Jaime _ Manow was a little tired after a 3-day conference which she helped organise, but Jaime had some great news for us, so we celebrated her joy 🙂 and in the evening we went to celebrate Tenzin’s birthday (our chef friend) who decided to organise a dinner for this occasion with the intent of he is cooking and making the cocktails and we need to be the guinea pigs for his creations – who in the right mind would refuse? 😀 so we ate a lot of yummy food and drunk a lot of yummy cocktails (in our case, mocktails) and the conversation rambled from robotics, to space, quantum physics, BMX, immigration and hair care (and of course many more) 😀 and when Ben asked the others about quantum physics, everybody started shouting and we were like ??? but then they explained that  they had a bet on how fast Ben will get to this topic in the evening (one friend guessed correctly, 24 minutes after entering the apartment 😀 ) it was a fun night 🙂

_and we spent the majority of Saturday separately, though we started with a yummy brunch in our neighbourhood!! then I came home to work on my backlog (there was a 2 hour gap where there was no electricity in the building, hurray :S ) and Ben went back to Tenzin because they were going for wine tasting! you might ask, why Ben was joining? well, Tenzin invited him, aaaand also asked him to be the designated driver 😀 and this was an appropriate birthday present for him, plus Ben got to play with his drone in the countryside, so everybody won 😀

_huh, ez a hét tele volt meetinggel, mindenféle fajtából, online és személyes, és a nagyrészük még vezetett is valahova 😀 ééés nem csak meetingek, hanem szociális események is voltak!

_Bencének megvolt a nagy előadása szerdán, amikor a projektjéről beszélt a mérnök fejeseknek a cégnél, és eléggé érdeklődtek 🙂 utána el kellett még varrnia egy-két szálat, de aztán meg elkezdett a jövőbe nézni – nehéz kérdéseket feltenni a munkatársainak 😀 nekem is volt rengeteg meetingem a héten Vitruvianhez, MelbourneUnihoz, és SCChez, de a héten talán a WTF haladt a legtöbbet, mert egy amcsi hírügynökség megkeresett, hogy akarják terjeszteni az igét a podcastről (és nem kell érte fizessek!!!), megvolt a 300. panel beszélgetés és a résztvevők is élvezték, és lassan eljutok a szerkesztői tartozásaim végére 🙂

_melón kívül pedig megvolt a szokásos PhD ebédünk Manow-val és Jaime-vel _ Manow eléggé fáradt volt, mert egy 3-napos konferenciát segített szervezni, de Jaime-nek voltak szuper hírei, szóval azoknak nagyon örültünk 🙂 és aztán este meg elmentünk megünnepelni Tenzin chef barátunk szülinapját, aki kitalálta, hogy úgy akar ünnepelni, hogy ő főz meg állja a koktélokat, cserébe mi leszünk a kísérleti nyulak a kulináris kísérletekben – ki utasítana vissza egy ilyen ajánlatot 😀 szóval ettünk nyami hamit és ittunk nyami koktélokat (a mi esetünkben ezek moktélok voltak) és a beszélgetés meg elég szélesen vándorolt robotokon, az űrön, quantum fizikán, BMX bringán, bevándorláson, és hajápoláson keresztül (meg rengeteget más) 😀 és amikor Bence felhozta a quantum fizikát, mindenki elkezdett kiabálni, mi meg néztünk, hogy mizu? aztán elmondták, hogy fogadtak, hogy Bence mikor fogja felhozni ezt a témát a belépéstől számítva (egyik barátunk pontosan megtippelte, 24 perc 😀 ) nagyon jól éreztük magunkat 🙂

_és aztán a szombat nagyrészét külön töltöttük, egy közös reggeli után a környéken!! én utána hazajöttem dolgozni a szerkesztői lemaradásokon (mondjuk volt egy 2 óra áramszünet, az nem esett jól :S ) és Bence meg visszatért Tenzinhez, mert mentek borkóstolásra! hogy Bence miért csatlakozott? hát, mert Tenzin meghívta, ééés mert megkérték, hogy legyen a sofőr 😀 és mivel ez egy megfelelő szülinapi ajándék volt, meg Bence tudott a drónnal repkedni vidéken, így mindenki nyert 😀
