_yes, autumn is definitely here (I hope everyone has seen the cockatoos from last week), but the colours already seem to be magnificent 🙂 so due to the weather, this week we rather just walked and yesterday went to the Melbourne Museum for some educational walk around aborigines and science and other stuff_

_the week was normal with progress and meetings sprinkled during it: Ben made some breakthroughs and also was working on some side projects, I was able to send in an article to a journal (let’s see what happens) and progressed with some very interesting insights _ we also had our usual PhD lunch with the Ladies, and it was so great to see them, we are already planning to meet them in person – the campus is getting opened up, some of our friends are working from there, so it looks like the situation kind of getting some normality_

_on Friday, we had played Catan with Gergő online – I had played it once, so I was a very wise mitfahrer beside Ben against (?) Gergő _ but is was fun, and I managed to give only the half of the advice I wanted to Ben, so he was not overwhelmed by my wisdom during the game 😀 and we tried it already together yesterday and it was fun to play it also for me, so that was surprising 😀

_yesterday, however, we also went to get some education in the form of museum visit _ in the Carlton Gardens, there is the Melbourne Pavilion from one of the world exhibitions, a magnificent classical building (closed), and opposite, the very modern, almost deconstructivist building of the Melbourne Museum – interesting composition _ but bravely, we went in because we wanted to see the exhibitions regarding the aborigines people of Australia – Ben finds the theme extremely fascinating for their wisdom with nature among others, while I am fascinated and horrified at the same time by their history _ the exhibition is not an easy one, but it seems for us, who were not in the story, a fair representation of what had happened to these people and nations – not the brightest moment of the western culture _ one of my favourite parts was the moving wing artifact with different lighting explaining the origin myths _ it was really a walk to remember and learn from_

_on the other hand, the museum also had other parts, and the science area intrigued us, the mind and body part made me grateful to live in the modern era of psychology and medicine, and the best was the forest inside the museum exhibiting how forests ‘work’ in Australia from the necessary water and life to the devastating fires _ it was so refreshing to walk in an actual (but of course) small forest in the museum_

_nos, igen, az ősz tényleg megérkezett (remélem a múlt heti kakadu vonulást mindenki látta), de a színek már most csodásan néznek ki 🙂 szóval az idő miatt is, ezen a héten csak sétálgattunk, meg tegnap elmentünk a Melbourne Múzeumba egy edukációs sétára az őslakosokról és tudományról és egyéb dolgokról_

_a hét amúgy normálisan haladással meg némi találkozókkal telt: Bence haladt igen sokat a feladataival meg a kis mellék projekteivel, míg én beküldtem egy cikket egy újsághoz (meglátjuk mi történik) és haladtam igen érdekes meglátásokkal _ persze megvolt a heti szokásos PhD ebédünk is a Hölgyekkel, és olyan jó volt mindenkit látni, hogy már tervezzük is, hogy találkozzunk élőben – a campus kezd megnyitva lenni, valaki már az eredeti helyéről dolgozik, szóval úgy tűnik, hogy a helyzet valamilyen szinten normalizálódik_

_pénteken Gergővel játszottunk Catant online – életemben egyszer játszottam csak, szóval konkrét részvétel helyett inkább Bencének osztogattam nagyon bölcs tanácsokat mitfarherként Gergő ellen (?) _ de vicces volt így is, és szerencsére csak minden második tanácsot mondtam ki, így Bence sem akart elcsöndesíteni 😀 és végül tegnap én is játszottam, kiderült, hogy még élveztem is 😀

_tegnap emellett viszont még elmentünk némi edukációt magunkba gyűjteni múzeumlátogatással _ a Carlton Kertben van a Melbourne Pavilion az egyik Világkiállításról, egy csodás klasszicista épület (zárva), és ezzel szemben egy nagyon modern, majdnem dekonstruktivista épület a Melbourne Múzeummal – érdekes kompozíció _ de bátran nekimentünk, mert a bent levő kiállítást akartuk megnézni az ausztrál őslakosokról Bence számára a tudásuk és bölcsességük határtalanul izgalmas, míg számomra a történetük egyszerre elképesztő és borzasztó _ a kiállítás ennek megfelelően nem egy egyszerű darab, de úgy tűnt számunkra, hogy valóban bemutatja hogy mi történt ezekkel az emberekkel és nemzetekkel – nem a legszebb képe ez a nyugati civilizációnak _ az egyik kedvenc elemem egy mozgó szárny volt, ami különböző megvilágításokkal és meséléssel bemutatja az eredet mondáikat _ tényleg egy séta volt, amire emlékezni és belőle tanulni kell_

_a múzeum többi részén is végén mentünk, a tudományos rész nagyon vonzott minket, az elme és test rész igen hálássá tett, hogy a pszichológia és az orvoslás modern korában élek, és volt egy igazi erdő az épületben bemutatva hogy hogyan ‘működnek’ az erdők Ausztráliában a szükséges víztől és élettől a pusztító erdőtüzekig _ nagyon frissítő volt egy valódi séta egy valódi (bár persze) kis erdőben a múzeumban_
