| _happy new year to everyone 🙂 I hope that the last days of 2020 and the first ones of 2021 is as marvelous as anyone can wish for and that it will continue to be so _ we had small events this week, with the Science Museum, and some baseball, but otherwise, we celebrated the new year quietly – or did we? 😀
_in the first half of the week, we bought a baseball set and a a footie – the Australian version of the American football, and we tried both of them out 😀 it was for the humor of the locals 😀 the footie did not really wanted to work with us, however hard we have tried: when we aimed to kick it straight, it went either left or right, but not the direction we wanted 😀 when we tried to play catch with it, there was a safe distance we were able to do it – not more than 2 metres 😀 but the baseball was a better story: both of us was able to hit the ball and send it to various distances _ of course, Ben was the furthest, but I had fun with throwing it to myself and then hit it, thanks to my tennis past _ fortunately, not only us enjoyed the ball itself – it was hijacked by a dog which thought: This is a ball I must catch it 😀 his owners were shouting at him to drop it, and he eventually did it at the feet of them looking up proudly 😀 the guy tried to throw it back to us, but of course the dog thought: oooo my master throw the ball I must catch it again 😀 at the end we got our ball back, and although it was more than wet with doggy saliva, we had fun_ _afterwards, we went to a shop, but here we need to wear a mask when entering – so we agreed that Ben should not have the bat because he kind of looks threatening with his sunglasses, mask and bat combo 😀 and we went to the shop, because we did our yearly planner on our wall – it looks so amazing – we are still getting used to the site of it, but we have already planned our year broadly, and it is really useful just to look at it from time to time _ not to mention that my organising mind is more than satisfied 😀 _the new year’s eve was quiet, we did not really celebrated it, because 1. we thought this is just another day and only an arbitrary number is changing, 2. there were no parties in Melbourne, so we just talked to our families and went to bed 😀 on the first of January, we started our day with a huge breakfast, then reassured our families, that 2021 seems safe, so they can approach it 😀 _we also visited the Science Works of Melbourne, although both of us were on the same page: the House of Wonders from our childhood in Budapest was much more fascinating 😀 here the sport section was really interesting, and they are really focused on the sustainability and the future of our planet _ we were almost the only adults who did not have any kids with them 😀 but that also meant that we were crushing the challenges 😀 of course, we waited until the kids were at some other point of the exhibition – but at the end of a game, I must admit, there were more than 5 kids waiting for us to finish it already 😀 _the pictures from this week can be visited through this link_ |
_boldog új évet mindenkinek 🙂 reméljük hogy 2020 utolsó és 2021 első napjai szuperek voltak és hogy folytatódik ez a tendencia _ csak kisebb események voltak ezen a héten az itteni Csodák Palotájával, és egy kis baseballozással, de egyébként csendesen ünnepeltük az új évet – vagy mégse? 😀
_a hét első felében vettünk egy baseball szettet és egy footie-t – az ausztrál verzióját az amerikai footballnak, és ki is próbáltuk mind a kettőt 😀 a helyiek nagyon jól szórakoztak rajtunk 😀 a footie veszettül nem akart velünk együtt dolgozni, mindegy, milyen erősen próbálkoztunk: amiker megpróbáltuk rúgni egyenesen, akkor vagy jobbra, vagy balra ment, de tuti nem arra, amerre mi akartuk 😀 amikor meg dobáltuk, csak egy bizonyos távolságon belül tudtuk ezt megtenni – 2 méteren belül 😀 a baseball viszont jobban ment: mind a ketten el tudtuk ütni a labdát változó távolságokra _ persze Bencének ment messzebbre, de nekem meg sikerült magamnak dobni a labdát és el is ütni köszönhetően a tenisz edzéseknek _ szerencsére nem csak nekünk tetszett a labda- egy nagyon aktív kis kutya elkapta a gondolattal, hogy itt gurul egy labda, nekem meg jól el kell kapjam 😀 a gazdái kiabáltak neki hogy köpje ki, amit végül meg is tett a lábuknál büszkén várva a dicséretet 😀 a pasi próbálta visszadobni nekünk a labdát, de persze a kutyus azt gondolta, hogy a gazdi eldobott egy labdát, akkor nekem azt vissza kell hozzam 😀 a végén persze visszakaptuk, és bár inkább csúszós volt a kutyanyáltól, azért nagyon jól szórakoztunk_ _mindezek után, elmentünk egy boltba, de mivel itt kell maszkot viselni, ha bemész egy helyiségbe, megegyeztünk, hogy inkább én viszem az ütőt, mert Bence kissé fenyegetően tud kinézni a baseball ütő, maszk és napszemcsi kombóval 😀 és amúgy azért mentünk, mert meg akartuk csinálni az éves tervezőnket a falunkra – olyan királyul sikerült – még mindig hozzá kell szoknunk a látványához, de már meg is terveztük az évünket nagyvonalakban, és nagyon hasznos csak ránézni néhanapján _ nem mellesleg, a kis organizálós agyamnak több mint jól esik 😀 _a szilveszter elég csöndes volt, nem is nagyon ünnepeltük, mert 1. számunkra egy csak egyszerű nap, ami egy arbitrális szám változását hozza, 2. nem voltak nagy partik Melbourne-ben, úgyhogy csak beszéltünk a családokkal, és mentünk aludni 😀 elsején azért egy nagy reggelivel kezdtünk és szóltunk a családoknak, hogy nem kell aggódniuk, 2021 egészen jól néz ki, jöhetnek 😀 _mindezek mellett még az itteni Csodák Palotáját is meglátogattuk, bár egyetértettünk: gyerekkorunk budapesti Csodák Palotája lényegesen izgisebb volt 😀 itt a sport szekció volt nagyon érdekes, meg nagyon rá vannak fókuszálva a fenntarthatóságra, és a Föld jövőjére _ nagyjából mi voltunk az egyetlen felnőttek gyerek nélkül 😀 de ez azt is jelentette, hogy atomkirályul csináltuk a játékokat 😀 persze csak akkor, amikor a gyerekek a kiállítás másik részében voltak – bár volt egy olyan játék, amit nagyon élveztünk, és mire észbekaptunk vagy 5 gyerek várta hogy végre abbahagyjuk 😀 _a heti képeket ezen a linken keresztül lehet megnézni_ |
