| _oooo our trip was AMAZING!!! I could write and tell for hours of what we have seen and of what we have taken pictures, so it is worth to check out the pictures, but I must warn everyone, that there are a lot 😀 and since a picture worth a thousand words, I will restrict myself to the usual length of the posts_
_we started this week and our holiday with a huge cleaning and then went to the bay to have a well deserved swim – still weird to have a bath at Christmas time, but we enjoyed it very much _ on Tuesday, Jaime visited us and we had lunch together, then we prepared ourselves, mainly food, for our trip to the Great Ocean Road for the next 4 days, and on Wednesday we started our journey _ although the weather was not really a partner for our trip, we did not really care, we packed for every occasion, that is why we were able to walk around and even swim when we had the chance_ _Ben was the designated driver, and he had driven more than 500 kms during this trip, because we were cruising up and down the magnificent coastline _ on Wednesday, we followed Ben’s friend’s advice and targeted Warrnambool, where our accommodation was, from the countryside instead of fighting our way through the families having also holidays on the coastline, and thus we saw some of the rural Australia finally, with some lakes and areas of volcanic origins _ our accommodation, it turned out, was a little further away from the City of Warrnambool, but that was way worth the distance, because we saw the ocean from our window 😀 _on Thursday, we went for the west direction from Warrnambool and visited some marvelous places, like Yambuk, where a lake and the ocean unites at high tide, or Cape Bridgewater, where we saw seals in their natural habitat !!! I am not kidding: seals were jumping and playing on the coastline, and we saw them, although from an obvious distance, but still in their natural habitat (the good-eyed ones can spot them in the pictures, but my phone can sometimes be a potato when it comes around pictures) – for me, the urban rat, was an amazing experience, since I had only seen seals in zoos_ _on Friday, we explored the 200 kms of the Great Ocean Road east from Warrnambool, starting from the Gibsons Steps, through the 12 Apostols, London Bridge, the Arch, Childers Cove, and so so many more _ these are all magnificent formations of geography reminiscencing of old ages, how the coast line used to look like and how the nature forms its ways, and how unstoppable the natural forces are _ many of these formations are left alone and just the small look outs are allowed for the humans, otherwise it is the nature’s territory by any means – the Bay of Islands was an experience like seeing the Paradise without the people: many birds flying freely above the green rock tops, while the ocean tirelessly washes the sides of these rocks _ we could feel a little small in these instances _ obviously, humans tried to occupy these lands, but after some futile and fatal errors they gave up, as the stories of pirates and crushed cruise ships tell us – but the bays are just pleasing to the eye (not recommended to swim in them, so we swam at Port Campbell on a beach)_ _and to properly finish the day, Ben figured we should go to the close reserve after dinner to see some local animals in the twilight – and he was so right!!! the reserve itself is set on a few crates with water in them now instead of lava _ we were walking among kangaroos, 2 meters far from them, and koalas, saw some emus and even rabbits (though they are not native to this land) _ we walked around the park and only left when we were scared for our life due to the strange noises koalas have (you can listen to it here) – you hear this terrifying noise in the dark evening and you start to flee as well 😀 on the pictures, however, the craters, the moon, the twilight and the ocean can be seen together, it was like being on another planet_ _on Saturday, we left our accommodation and our hosts with a huge thank, and just for good measure went beck to the reserve to walk a little more around – and thank God, we did, because we spotted some koalas in very close proximity _ so we started our journey home with this high note, then walked on the ocean’s shore at Gibsons Steps and eat our snack (melon) with a view to the ocean _ then we stopped again to walk around in a rainforest in the Great Otway National Park, where we had our lunch _ our coffee was at Apollo Bay, and we went through real tropical feeling places alongside the Great Ocean Road, where we promised to come back and swim at each spot at some point 😀 because we had to give back to rental car at some point, we only stopped at a waterfall (many rivers arrive to the ocean on this road, so we just spotted one which was close enough, but beautiful at the same time, I mean, all are beautiful 😀 ) _ our last stop was in Torquay where Ben chose a fabulous steak house to have our dinner as our last step on the road, and he had chosen well, indeed _ after that we rushed home, I mean Ben was driving and we had great conversations 😀 _so the pictures from this week can be found through this link, but again, be warned, there is a lot_ |
_uuuu szuper volt az utazás!!! órákig tudnék írni meg mesélni arról, amiket láttunk meg amiről fényképet csináltunk, szóval érdemes megnézegetni a képeket, de szólok előre, nagyon sokat csináltunk 😀 és mivel egy kép többet mond ezer szónál, megpróbálom tartani a szokásos hosszúságot_
_a hetet amúgy, és a szabadságunkat egy nagytakarítással kezdtük, amit egy jól megérdemelt pancsolás követett az öbölben – még mindig extrém fura karácsony környékén pancsolni, de nagyon élveztük _ kedden Jaime meglátogatott minket és együtt ebédeltünk, aztán meg felkészültünk, elsősorban kajával, a Great Ocean Road utunkra a következő 4 napban, és szerdán neki is indultunk _ bár az időjárás kevéssé akart partner lenni, nem nagyon zavartattuk magunkat, és pakoltunk minden eshetőségre, ezért is tudtunk mindenfelé sétálni és még úszni is, amikor lehetett_ _Bence volt a sofőr most, és több mint 500 kmt le is vezetett, mert összevissza mászkáltunk a csodás óceán parton _ szerdán, követve Bence barátjának a tanácsát, nem konkrétan a parton mentünk megverekedve a szintén nyaraló családokkal, hanem eggyel beljebb céloztuk be a szállásunkat Warrnambool-ban, a vidéken keresztül, és így végre láttunk valamit a vidéki Ausztráliából is tavakkal területekkel vulkanikus eredettel _ a szállásunk, mint kiderült, egy kissé messzebb volt Warrnambool városától, de teljes mértékig megérte a távolság, mert láttuk az óceánt a szobánk ablakából 😀 _csütörtökön a Warrnambooltól nyugatra eső oldalt céloztuk be és meglátogattunk csodás helyeket, mint pl Yambuk, ahol egy tó és az óceán dagály idején összeér, vagy Cape Bridgewater, ahol fókákat láttunk az ő természetes élőhelyükön!!!! nem viccelek: a fókák ott ugráltak meg játszottak a parton, és láttuk őket, persze meglehetős távolságból, de a természetes helyükön (a sasszeműek ki tudják szúrni őket a képet között, bár a telefonom tud néha úgy viselkedni mint egy krumpli ha képekről van szó) – számomra, a városi patkány számára ez egy elképesztő élmény volt, eddig csak állatkertben láttam őket_ _pénteken a Great Ocean Road Warrnambooltól keletre eső 200 km-ét fedeztük föl a Gibsons Steps-től kezdve, a 12 Apostolon, London Bridge-en, The Arch-on keresztül a Childers Cove-ig, meg még sok sok minden mást is _ ezek a csodás geológiai formák emlékeztetnek a korábbi időkre, hogyan nézett ki a part több tízezer évvel ezelőtt, és hogy a természet hogyan alakítja a dolgokat, és hogy mennyire megállíthatatlanok ezek az erők _ többsége ezeknek az elemeknek a természetnek van hagyva, és az emberek csak kis ösvényeken tudják megközelíteni őket, ez teljesen a természet felségterülete – a Bay of Islands (szigetek öble) olyan volt, mintha paradicsomi állapotokat látnánk emberek nélkül: madarak szállnak a zöld sziklatetők fölött, míg az óceán kitartóan támadja a sziklák oldalát _ kicsinek tudja magát érezni az ember ilyen helyzetekben _ persze, ez nem azt jelenti, hogy az emberek nem próbálták volna meg befoglalni ezeket a területeket, de több hiábavaló és végzetes próbálkozás után feladták, ahogy a történetek mesélik a különböző kalóz meséket és tengeri katasztrófákat – de el kell ismerni, az öblök egész egyszerűen gyönyörűek (nem ajánlott bennük úszni, úgyhogy mi is inkább Port Campbell kijelölt strandján csobbantunk egyet)_ _és hogy megkoronázzuk a napot, Bence kitalálta, hogy vacsi után menjünk el a közeli rezervátumba hogy lássunk helyi állatokat naplemente meg szürkület idején – és mennyire igaza volt!!! a rezervátum maga néhány vulkanikus kráteren fekszik, amik most vizet tartalmaznak láva helyett _ ezek között és a helyiket között sétáltunk: 2 méterre kenguruktól, meg koalákat is láttunk a fékon, emukat kissé messzebb, és még nyuszikat is (bát ők nem őshonosak ezen a földön) _ egészen addig sétáltunk a parkban, amíg halálra nem rémültünk a rettenet fura hangjától a koaláknak (itt meg lehet hallgatni) – meghallva ezt a hangot a sötétben, gyorsan elindulsz hazafelé 😀 a képeken egyébként a kráterek tavait, a holdat és a messzeségben az óceánt is lehet látni egyszerre – mintha egy teljesen másik bolygón lettünk volna_ _szombaton elhagytuk a szállást és köszönetet mondtunk a szállásadóinknak, és azért még egyszer visszamentünk az előző napi parkba – és még milyen jó hogy visszamentünk, mert kiszúrtunk koalákat nagyon közelről _ aztán megkezdtük hazafelé utunkat első megállóval a Gibsons Steps-nél, ahol sétáltunk egy jót az óceán parton, meg jól megtízóraiztuk a kis dinnyéinket _ a következő megállónk egy esőerdőben volt a Great Otway Nemzeti Parkban, ahol séta után meg is ettük az ebédünket _ a kávét Apollo Bay-ben ittuk meg, és aztán folytattuk utunkat a Great Ocean Road-on tiszta trópusi érzéssel, és az ígérettel, hogy vissza fogunk még térni ide, minde egyes öbölben csobbani legalább egyszer 😀 és mivel időre vissza kellett érnünk a bérelt kocsi miatt, csak egy vízesésnél álltunk meg (rengeteg folyó érkezik be az óceánban az út mentén, úgyhogy csak kiszúrtunk egyet ami elég közel volt, és még szép is volt, bár mindegyik szép 😀 ) _ utolsó megállónk Torquayben volt, ahol Bence választott egy steak house-t vacsinak, és ettünk eszméletlen finom steaket mintegy megkoronázva a teljes utazást, Bence igen l választott _ ezután már csak siettünk haza, ami persze azt jelenti, hogy Bence vezetett, és közben beszélgettünk 😀 _szóval a heti képek ezen a linken keresztül érhetőek el, de ismételten jelzem, hogy rengeteg_ |
