| _we had so much fun this week, but I must admit, not everyone will agree with our definition of fun 😀 but we enjoyed ourselves, nonetheless, so we had a great week again_
_this week, Ben was progressing with the tasks he had for his client well enough, however, it was a little hard to find the best solution _ one of the evening, we were having dinner and he explained how he discovered his solution, and how it is different and at the same time the perfect one for the problem they had _ it is amazing how diverse a programmer and data scientist must think to find the best solutions, and how they must not stick to a box to think inside it _ additionally, he participated again the start up breakfast, and it is always so invigorating for him and for me as well to see him as enthusiastic_ _as for my research, I finished the article for the conference, finally, now I am waiting on their response _ additionally, I am continuing the interview phase as well – according to Jeni, now everyone has time to participate in an interview 😀 so I am using this lock down for my own purposes _ but what is more exciting and interesting, Jeni created the opportunity for me to start learning data science, and I already started the study phase on DataCamp site (online courses with practical approach) – I will use this new skill to analyse my data much more professionally, hopefully 😀 _ _we also had our usual meetings with our friends, from the PhD guild and the Toastmasters _ the latter was a little unusual as there were no long speeches but just short impromtu ones, and everyone had the chance to speak up, but exactly that is why we had a lot of fun _ moreover, this week, Ben went to walk with our friend and her dog, but I accompanied him until the meeting point to say hi and pet the dog a little 😀 _ _I must say that although based on the calendar, it is sill winter here, we were drinking our coffee in T-shirts on the balcony with perfect weather conditions, and amazing sunshine – we enjoyed it so much!!! it is like spring _ however, not everyone agrees with us, because the Melbournians seem to use their winter cloaks still in this amazing great weather 😀 _ _finally, yesterday, we decided that we start a training session (6 km for Ben by running and walking, for me by skating), then we had our coffee, and the day was still young!! thus, as we agreed earlier, we went for shopping for a puzzle 😀 yes, that was I was indicating in the introduction _ we were not sure how big of a puzzle should we chose, but finally we went for only a 1000 pieces one – fortunately, because there were ones with 4000 pieces XD that would be a bit too much for the first 😀 _ then we came home, started the 80’s hits on Spotify and hit the puzzle while humming the music for hours 😀 we had so much fun, which I can understand that seems quite weird 😀 however, I can only recommend this kind of leisure time for a lock down 😀 _ _the weekly pictures can be visited through this link_ |
_olyan jól szórakoztunk a héten, de azt el kell ismerjem, hogy ezzel nem mindenki fog egyetérteni 😀 de mi jól éreztük magunkat, úgyhogy a mi hetünk szuper volt megint_
_ezen a héten Bence szokás szerint szépen haladt a dolgaival, viszont a mostani problémára egy kicsit nehezebb volt megtalálnia a legmegfelelőbb megoldást _ egyik este elmesélte vacsi közben, hogy hogyan találta meg a legjobb megoldást és hogy ez mennyiben különbözik és mégis mennyire megfelelő a problémára, mint ami nekik van _ elképesztő, hogy milyen változatosan kell tudni gondolkodnia egy programozónak és adatbányásznak, hogy megtalálja a legjobb megoldást, és hogy mennyire nem szabad beszorulniuk egy “dobozba” _ ezen kívül volt még neki a start up reggelije, és mindig olyan élettel teli lesz utána, amit meg nagyon jó nézni is_ _a kutatás is megy, persze, a héten befejeztem végre a cikket a konferenciára, mostmár csak arra várok, hogy elfogadják-e, és folytatom az interjúkat is – Jeni szerint most mindenki ráér interjúzni 😀 , hát kihasználom a lezárást a saját céljaimnak megfelelően _ ami még nagyon izgalmas, Jeni megteremtette nekem a lehetőséget, hogy tudjak adatbányászatot tanulni, amit már el is kezdtem a DataCamp oldalon (online kurzusok gyakorlati megközelítéssel) – és ezt majd használni fogom, hogy elemezzem az adatokat a kutatásban, a lehető legjobb módon – remélhetőleg 😀 _ _persze megvoltak a heti szokásos találkák is a PhD barátokkal meg a Toastmasterrel _ az utóbbi kissé eltért a szokásostól, mert nem voltak hosszú beszédek, hanem mindenki gyakorolta az impromtuzást, és pont ezért nagyon is tetszett nekünk _ sőt, most a héten Bence ment sétálni a barátunkkal és a kutyájával, de azért elkísértem őt a találka helyre, hogy köszönjek nekik meg megsimizzem a kutyát :D_ _be kell valljam, hogy bár a naptár szerint itt még tél van, a ma reggeli kávét a teraszon pólóban ittuk meg tökéletes időben és csodás-verőfényes napsütésben – nagyon élveztük!!! olyan tavaszi _ viszont ezzel nem mindenki ért egyet, a melbourniek közül rengetegen téli kabátban sétálgatnak még ebben a csodás időben is 😀 _ _végül pedig, a tegnapi napot egy edzéssel kezdtük (6 km Bencének futva meg sétálva, nekem meg görkorival), aztán a kávénkat is jól megittuk az erkélyen, és még mindig nagyon délelőtt volt!!! így aztát, ahogy előre kitaláltuk, elmentünk venni egy kirakóst 😀 igen, ez az amire céloztam a bevezetésben _ nem voltunk biztosak abban, hogy mekkorát is kéne választani, de aztán maradtunk egy 1000 darabosnál inkább – szerencsére, mert erősen nézegettünk egy 4000 darabosat is XD az talán túl sok lenne kezdésnek 😀 _ aztán hazaértünk, bekapcsoltuk a 80as évek slágereit a Spotifyon, és nekiestünk a kirakósnak dudorászva a zenéket, órák hosszat 😀 nagyon jól éreztük magunkat, amit amúgy meg tudok érteni, hogy nem mindenki ért meg 😀 de csak ajánlani tudom ezt a fajta tevékenységet karanténra :D_ _a heti képeket ezen a linken keresztül lehet megnézni_ |
