_one of the best things of this week was the sun _ I know, I know, this is for me, Ben didn’t really likes to be on the sun, but the warm feeling after last weeks cold weather … it was amazing _ even Australians loved it _ when the sky started to clear, everyone from inside rushed outside and lied down into the grass and onto the sun _ many mornings, I have seen students lying on their stomach chatting with each others on Swinburne’s grassy campus_

_the weather was even so great, that Ben and I started to get tanned _ we usually drink our bulletproof coffee (with butter) outside, on the balcony, and today we realized that we have some color _ in Ben’s case, this means tanning, but in my case, usually first sunburn and than tanned state _ to ensure my family, I was wearing sunscreen, because, being under the slimmest Ozone layer, even I pay attention to this question _ although I must admit, the drinking coffee on the sunny porch is an amazing way to start the day_

_okay, enough with the weather_

_this week, Ben had a huge demo with his company, so he was working on this project _ the demo went well, as I understood, although Ben just broke the program they are coding on the demo’s day _ what other time _ but since he had done it, and he was the creator of this program, he could fix it, so now it is even better _ the client was satisfied and noone called Ben during the night yelling “what the heck happened” so I think this is right_

_Manow and me had an action-full week again, and action-full in here means having almost three lectures in one week _ okay, maybe my time tables of previous universities were not normal, but this is the other side of the spectrum _ but I quite enjoy it _ and I should mention, that from these lectures none were for us, I just signed up and then dragged Manow with me _ for example on Thursday, we went to a presentation which should have been about the hidden job market, job opportunities for PhD students _ this sounded great, so we went along, even Ben com with us, he was interested in this as well _ but when we arrived, the lady made it clear that this is a job presentation for accounting students – which is fine but originally there was nothing mentioned about accounting _ I was a little embarrassed because I just made everyone come to this lecture_

_on Wednesday, additionally and however, I have met with my almost supervisor from RMIT, Judy _ she was a quite early in responding my applications and she was very hopeful to find a path together but she couldn’t find another supervisor _ to her credit, she recommended me Swinburne as a progressive institute and a real fit for my project, so basically this is her fault that I at Swinburne _ she is interested in the research itself, and she asked me, and then I asked her to meet in person, finally,  after so many emails _ so I went to the opposition party (just kidding, they are fighting together for a better world, or I have no idea), to RMIT Design Hub into the city centre _ its facade is interesting, but what is more curious is that the ground level, where you arrive from the street, it the third level (I asked Judy about this, and she didn’t know why that is the 3rd level…) _ but in I went heroically and bravely defiant with these, and we met _ she was really nice, although a little sick from the cold weather of Melbourne (I know I know, but she came back from a Thai holiday – comparing to that, the weather was really bad here) _ she was interested in the topic and she has a unique perspective seeing the changes in architecture _ we agreed that I keep her posted about the research, and I can reach her if I need an outsider, or someone from RMIT _ it was really nice to meet her so I was happy to do this visit_

_meanwhile, Ben used his connections and went to a Toastmaster Club here in Melbourne _ this is a worldwide leadership and public speaking group and we were a member of the Budapest Toastmaster group with lovely people, so Ben figured out he should try this branch out _ He went there and he was not disappointed _ he met with interesting characters with diverse backgrounds and from different age groups _ he was there on a low night meaning only 18 people were attending to the meeting itself _ moreover, when he told this branch about missing a Budapest’s habit (aaa-counting with a LOUD clicking noise) they were shocked about how disturbing this could be against their counting in silence _ he was so pleased with the group, so next time I will join as well_

_so as we planned the last weekend to go to Sorrento, we didn’t go there… the weather was not so nice, at least the forecast said to be rain, and to be honest, Sorrento is 3.5 hours far by public transport – for this weekend we didn’t feel the chi to do this _ instead, we went finally to the Melbourne Zoo to see the animals in here _ big-big thanks to Zsuzsa for the ticket and the direction to go_

_this Zoo is a “little” park in the big Royal Park _ it is smaller than the Budapest Zoo but bigger than a park, so what I am saying is that we were just walking in this park and did more than our 10000 steps for this day _ the journey there was not simple, because it is derby season and we have met such an amazing crowd _ everyone was wearing very elegant and stylish stuff due to the derby’s traditions (though we didn’t know why they were travelling by train…) _ Ben and I agreed that once we must see it _ so there were 2 types of crowd basically on the platform we were waiting for our train: the derby people and the families coming with us to the zoo _ and to station has a very unique roof form_

_at the zoo, the cashier immediately realized that I am not an Australian and was just a little surprised to meet someone from Hungary _ later we met a Hungarian family and realizing to other just by the language, so maybe Hungarians are not so rare around here _ but we were finally let in and we went to see everything _ okay, we tried to see everything, because some of the most important animals were not on display, they were sleeping or something – ones of them were the tigers: none of those were to be seen although the Zoo has 5 of them _ unbelievable _ but we have seen sleeping wombats, resting kangaroos, chitchatting colorful birds, playful rescued seals and undecided penguins whether they should jump into water or not _ we went into the lemurs’ “house” where they can run freely but you cannot touch them (only when you are sitting at the photo taking place guarded by the zookeepers) _ Ben and I agreed that we should come back later in the year because this is a very early time for these animals and maybe during late spring or early summer they would be more visible _ although the giant tortoises won’t be any different I guess, even I could ride one of them 😀  (okay, maybe only on a bronze replica…)

_az egyik legjobb dolog a héten a nap volt _ tudomtudom, ez csak nekem, Bence annyira nem örül a napnak, de olyan jó a meleg a hideg napok után … szuper _ még az ausztrálok is nagyon örültek neki _ amikor elkezdett kitisztulni az ég, rohantak kifelé leheveredni a zöld fűre a napon _ sok reggelen a diákok kinn heverésztek hason beszélgetve egymással a Swinburne füves területein_

_az idő olyan jó, hogy Bencével elkezdtünk barnulni _ a reggeli “golyóálló” (vajas) kávénkat általában kint isszuk meg a teraszon, és ma döbbentünk rá, hogy némi színünk is elkezdett ehhez lenni _ Bence esetében ez szép barnulást jelent, nálam viszont féle az első leégés esete a barnulás fázisa előtt _ és hogy megnyugtassam kedves családomat, igen, naptejet is használtam, lévén a legvékonyabb ózón réteg alatt, erre még én is figyelek _ de azt el kell ismerni, hogy nem semmi élény a reggeli kávét így meginni és így kezdeni a napot_

_najó, elég az időjárásból_

_a héten Bencének volt egy nagy demoja a cégével, úgyhogy teljes erőbedobással azon dolgozott _ szerencsére jól is sikerült, ahogy megértettem, bár Bence a demo napján azért eltörte a kódot még jól _ mikor máskor _ de mivel ő alkotta meg a programot is, ezért meg is tudta javítani, szóval most csak még jobb, mint eredetileg volt _ a megrendelő elégedett volt és senki nem hívta éjszaka Bencét ordibálva “hogy mi a túró történt??” (se máshogy), szóval azt hiszem, hogy tényleg rendben ment_

_Manow és én pedig ismét egy teljes mozgalmas héten vettünk részt, ami egészen 3 előadást is jelentett _ najó, lehet, hogy a korábbi egyetemi tapasztalataim nem normális tárgyhalmozási mániám miatt,  de ez a másik oldala a spektrumnak _ de amúgy egészen élvezem _ persze hozzá kell tenni, hogy ezek közül az előadások közül egyik sem nekünk szólt, mindegyikre ész nálkül feliratkoztam és Manowt magammal rángattam _ például, csütörtökre meg volt hirdetve egy előadás a PhD melletti melóra vonatkozóan _ ez igen jól hangzott, úgyhogy mi odamentünk, sőt még Bence is csatlakozott, mert még őt is érdekelte _ de persze mikor megérkeztünk, akkor kiderült, hogy ez a pénzügyi PhDsoknak szól csak kb, amiről eredetileg egy szót sem szólt senkisem _ egy kissé szégyelltem magam, hogy mindenkit össze-visszarángattam a semmiért_

_szerdán, viszont és ráadásul, találkoztam a majdnem professzorommal az RMIT-ról, Judyval _ egészen korán visszajelzett még, amikor kerestem témavezetőt, és nagyon reménykedett benne, hogy együtt fogjuk tudni csinálni, de nem sikerült találnia egy második témavezetőt sajnos _ javára legyen mondva, hogy cserébe ajánlotta a Swinburne-t, mint előretekintő és haladó intézmény, ahol a téma meg én is jobb helyen lehetek, szóval igazából az ő hibája, hogy odakerültem _ nagyon érdekli a téma is, ezért megkért engem, meg én is kértem őt, hogy amint lehet találkozzunk személyesen is _ úgyhogy elmentem az ellenséghez (csak viccelek, együtt küzdenek a jövőért, vagy valami) az RMIT Design Hubjába a központba _ nagyon érdekes a homlokzata, de az még inkább, hogy az utcai szintet, amire beérkezem, hívják 3. emeletnek (Judy sem tudta, hogy miért) _ de hősiesen és dacolca ilyen eltérítő tényezőkkel bementem és találkoztunk _ nagyon kedves volt, bár egy kicsit beteg a hideg melbourne-i időjárástól (tudomtudom, de most jött vissza Thaiföldről, és az ottani időjáráshoz képest itt azért még hideg van) _ nagyon érdekelte a kutatásom és igen egyedi perspektívával szemléli az építészetet _ így aztán megegyeztünk, hogy én tájékoztatom néhanapján, hogy hogy haladok, meg zaklathatom őt, ha kell egy külső személelő vagy egy vélemény az RMIT-ról _ nagyon jó volt találkozni vele, úgyhogy nagyon örültem, hogy elmentem_

_mindeközben, Bence használva kapcsolatait elment a Melbourne Kew ToastMaster klubba _ ez egy nemzetközi vezető- és publikus beszédkészség fejlesztő csapat, aminek a budapesti részének a tagjai voltunk csodás emberekkel együtt, így Bence gondolta, hogy megpróbálja itt is _ el is ment hozzájuk, és nem is csalódott _ nagyon érdekes karakterekkel találkozott különböző háttérrel és életkorból _ egy kevésbé tömeges eseményre érkezett, mert csak 18-an voltak _ viszont, mikor mesélt nekik a budapest szokásokról (HANGOS ööö-számolás egy ilyen kattintó kis kütyüvel), teljesen elhűltek, hogy ez mennyire zavaró lehet az ő csöndben-számolós megoldásukkal szemben _ annyira tetszett Bencének, hogy legközelebb én is megyek vele_

_éés ugye terveztük, hogy elmegyünk Sorrentoba a hétvégén, de nem mentünk… mert az időjárás sem volt az igazi, meg amúgy a 3,5 órás odatömegközlekedés riasztott is egy kicsit még minket – ezen a hétvégén nem éreztük a csít hogy ezt most megugorjuk _ cserébe elmentünk a Melbourne Zoo-ba végre _ hatalmas köszönet érte Zsuzsának, aki jegyekkel és iránnyal is ellátott minket_

_ez az állatkert egy “kis” parkban van a nagy Királyi Parkban _ kisebb mint a Budapesti Állatkert (FÁNK), de nagyobb, mint egy normál park, és igazából, amit akarok mondani, hogy lesétáltunk többet is mint a napi 10000 lépést itt _ már mondjuk maga az odaút is érdekes volt, mert elkezdődött a derby szezon és emiatt egy igen érdekes tömegbe futottunk bele _ mindenki naggyon elegánsan vagy sztájlosan (bocsi, fájt leírnom is) nézett ki a derby hagyományainak megfelelően (bár azt nem értettük, hogy miért vonattal mennek…) _ Bencével meg is egyeztünk, hogy egyszer tuti el kéne menni  megnézni, hogy mi ez _ és így igazából 2 féle tömeg volt a peronon: a derbyre igyekvők és a családok az állatkertbe menve _ és ráadásul az állomás teteje is ilyen fura_

_ az állatkertben a jegyeladó rögtön levette, hogy nem vagyok ausztrál és csak kicsit lepődött meg , hogy magyar vagyok _ később találkoztunk véletlenül egy magyar családdal csak a beszédről ismerve fel egymást, szóval lehet hogy a magyarok nem olyan ritkák arrafelé _ de végül bejutottunk, és mindent is jól meg is néztünk _ najó, meg is szerettünk volna nézni, mert néhány a legfontosabb állat közül nem volt látható, aludtak vagy valami – pl ilyen volt a tigris is: egyik sem volt kinn, pedig az állatkertnek 5 tigrise is van _ hihetetlen _ de cserébe azért láttunk alvó wombatokat, pihiző kengurukat, csivitelő színes madarakat, játékos mentett fókákat and tétova pingvineket, akik nem tudták eldönteni, hogy beugorjanak-e a vízbe, vagy ne _ bementünk a lemúrok “házába” is, ahol szabadon mászkálhatnak, de a látogatók nem nyúlhatnak hozzájuk (csak amikor a fényképezésre kijelölt helyen vannak, és ülnek a látogatók, akkor engedik a lemúrokat közel, mászkálni rajtuk) _ Bencével megegyeztünk, hogy vissza kéne menni majd még amikor jobb az idő, mert ez itt tényleg nagyon korainak tűnt az állatok számára, és remélhetőleg késő tavasszal vagy kora nyáron jobban láthatók _ bár a galapagosi óriás teknősökön valószínűleg nem érzékelnénk a változást, még én is tudtam rajtuk teknőcögölni 😀 (najó, lehet, hogy csak egy bronz másolaton….)_
