_here are listed not just our completed designs, but some of the non submitted ones _ these represents enormous energy investments from the team against their unfortunate faith _ however, they are not planned for the drawer they all contain some speciality which is worth to show_

1. ErkL _ Erkel Theater’s facade

_call: Graphic Solutions of Erkel Theater’s Facade

_location: Erkel Theater, Budapest, Hungary

_publication: 02/2014

_submission: 05/2014

_annunciation: 05/2014

_coworker: Bálint Tari

_result: shared 1st place awarded

_the competition was organized for students to create a new image for the facade of Erkel Theater (located in Budapest, built in 1911, renovated in 2013, reopened 2014) _ many extensions had been added to the building during its operation making the facades difficult to handle _ the competition was about to re-imagine and solve these difficulties_

_the contest was more focused on 2D design, but our idea broke through this limitation working in 3D _ because of its fragmentation, we created green facades as a unifying pattern on the frontage meant to be simple but elegant and natural _ the element of our vision was a scaffolding climbable by poeple on the facade facing to the park _ it is seated on the fragments and can be used as a community space, an outdoor projector screen and, moreover, an outdoor stage or auditorium_

2. Conflux _ rehabilitation and revitalization of Lipőtmező (previous mental hospital)

_all of  the raised problems could be solved one by one thus our main aim was to harmonize these solution as the title of our application, Conflux, demonstrates _ different functions had to operate next to each other and wanted them not just to be able to exist one by one but to live in symbiosis _ on the way to our final design, we reached out more institutes, firms, and associations to create a valid and realistically feasible plan _ our solution contained public and personal health care, mental hospital, addiction center, sport center _ the main building after renovation could have served as a health care and administrative unit with a retirement home, and its surroundings could have provided a representative park for the city_

_our application was presented at the ceremony arranged by the Association, on its website, and on other websites such as epiteszforum.hu (Hungarian website dedicated to architecture)_

3. Fényszóró _ meditation chapel of Szentgotthárd

_result: honorable mention

_the competition was organized for students to design a meditation space for approximately 40 people at the Home of Psychiatric Patients in Szentgotthárd _ the aim was to create a spiritual area for individual or group meditation dedicated to all of the ecumenical religions _ the chapel would have served not just for the insiders but the outsiders as well _ the competition exemplified some cornerstones to receive acceptable designs, for example to be easily construct-able to build by the townspeople, to have architectural value with both modernity and respect for local heritage, not to have any concrete sign of either beliefs, and to emphasize light_

_our design was named as Fényszóró meaning spotlight, headlight, reflector _ the transcendent nature of sacred spaces has been provided by the symbol of light since the Middle Ages _ as God is represented in the whole world according to religions, light goes through and enlightens the inner volumes of the chapel _ in the manner that the ecumenism collects more than one church which all recognize the image of the creating God, the light’s break-through through the words of Creation units the representing and wishing to celebrate religious congregations _ the location of celebrations can exceed the inner room _ moreover, the quiet garden with its view just improves the volume and quality of the chapel_

4. Besós Passage _ international competition Sant Adriá de Besós Barcelona

_“Besòs pasage” was an international competition addressed to architects, urban planners and technical designers with experience in city planning, organized by the Consorci del Besòs in collaboration with the Institut pour la Ville en Mouvement (IVM , Paris) _ the objective of the “Besòs pasage” contest was to provide a proposal to improve the existing underpass under the railway line that connects the Avinguda de la Platja with the sea, the tram and the site of the former Besòs power station in Sant Adrià de Besòs_

_first in our design process, we examined the existing situation trying to find out its problems required to solve _ afterwards, solutions were collected and selected to work with such as waterfall, light rows, and ramp renovations _ our final design’s contained an opener, friendlier, lighter, and brighter place under railway, easier to use ramps and clearer directions, furthermore, comfortable and convenient space on the ground protected from the sun_

_coworker: Zoltán Lipők

_result: honorable mention

_the competition was an open, secret, architectural ideal contest to collect plans which can improve touristically Bence-hegy _ the existing beautiful round panorama provides sights for the towns nearby and the lake itself _ because of its height, the design would serve as an architectural sign thus the announcers required qualitative designs_

_our plan represented simplicity _ due to Bence-hegy’s height, the top of the hill does not needed high look put towers that is why we created look out easily reachable boxes _ the main idea came from taking photos – from this land, no one can resist to take many pictures _ we designed wooden picture frames for, simple to construct, for those pictures to emphasize some points of the view _ these boxes are “just oriented tools” but they orient the viewers while they give the opportunity to look freely around_

_(the title is a Hungarian equivoque, unfortunately, cannot be translated)_

_coworker: Csongor Csintalan, Viktor Tóth

_result: honorable mention

_the competition was organized for students to plan the yard of the GreekCatholic Church which is one of the locations at the 5 Church Festival _ due to the variable use of the yard, the design must have to be as variable as the programs determined there_

_after the first studies of the recent situation, our design created a solution fulfilling the requirements for both liturgical events and everyday _ the addition was easily capable to accommodate and serve as a background for the biggest events_

1. Budapest Box

_call: Budapest Box architectural design competition

_the competition was announced to receive the most advantageous design of small, variable, flexible commercial pavilions for Vörösmarty Square _ this square grants every year the space for Budapest Christmas Fair and Winter Festival famous all around Europe _ the aim was to design small BOXes – similar, easy to use and build, cheap, on the other hand mesmerizing, long lasting, and flexible in use – which would provide the unified image of the square and the feasts dedicated there_

_our plan represented simplicity and variability hand in hand flexibility, and beauty _ the main structure was designed from wood easy to detach to other boxes _ facades were imagined from planks their holes filled with glowing (photo-luminescent) resin _ boxes designed by us were easy to assemble, variable according to requirements, and planned not just in general but in detail as well_

_unfortunately, we had run out of time thus we were not able the submit our final designs in a decent and proper way_

2.RAK PARK

_call: RAK-PARK architectural design competition for renew the Danube’s riverside between Kossuth Square and Fővám Square at the Pest side of Budapest

_publication: 08/2015

_submission: 10/2015

_annunciation: 12/2015

_coworker: Bálint Tari

_the competition required innovative, creative and realizable solutions for the now-congested riverbank of Budapest’s city center _ the aim was to receive designs renewing the connecting public spaces while using the water as a new platform _ the embankment is one of the most illustrious areas of Budapest regarding its history, urban situation and touristic significance thus its renovation and reformation was a delicate priority which needed the ability of future visions_

_our plan was based on situation analysis, examination of international examples, and personal experiences _ as the competition brief did, we separated 4 emphasized area, though we tried to unite the whole with unifying elements _ the final (but not submitted) design contained mainly floating platforms with various elements given the feeling of being in a interactive park which was highly appreciable in the city center _ these provided relaxing area for the inhabitants and tourists as well_

_unfortunately, the collaboration was not as simple as used to be because my friend was abroad thus we were not able to finalize the competition panels_

3. Budapest Science Center (BSC) _ Gellért Hill

_call: The Future Opportunities of Gellért hill’s and Citadella’s Reformation in the meaning of Function and Ideology

_publication: 07/2016

_submission: 10/2016

_annunciation: 11/2016

_coworker: Sára Kolozsi, Balázs Szőke

_(coming soon)_

_the competition’s aim was to solve the problems of Gellért hill’s unexploited areas _ these problems include the abandoned Citadella, unsolved situation of accessibility, the insecure (almost dangerous) places on the hill, the deserted situation at the bottom of the hill, and the separating sites in the north side _ moreover, its history is more than questionable as the sculptures on the top represented communist symbols in earlier times _ thus the elder inhabitants of Budapest still have confused, not easy feelings about it _ Gellért hill require solutions for these problems due to its role as a lunge in the center and a famous tourist attraction because of its view_

_each member of our design group was born in Budapest and Gellért Hill represents some special values for every one of us _ we aimed to create a living, full of life, frequently visited, easily approachable, multi functional park with some “widgets” which would attract not just the tourist but the locals more than ones as well _ therefore, our design contain sport establishments (such as a running tracks), wine town at the bottom, chairlifts for transport, and Budapest Science Center in the Citadella _ the last one was designed to be the biggest science center in Middle-Europe among others with the inventions of Hungarian scientists _ the BSC took in to its huge area not just exhibition areas but a conference hall and on its top a relaxing green roof open to anyone who wanted to enjoy the terrific view of Budapest at day or at night_

_unfortunately, our team was not as prepared as it would have been required so only the concept was sophisticated at the submission time which was not enough to deliver any valuable material _ despite this fact, some of the finalized design parts are worth to present_
