_well, we had a fun week indeed _ Ben figured to go for a standup comedy on Wednesday, I met with my friends on Friday, and we both had interesting meetings all around the week before having a holiday-like Saturday 😀

_progress was made again during the week _ Ben and his colleagues are preparing for something huge next week so they are managing and organising the last bits and pieces _ he is very excited 😀 I had my last review with huge success – my panel was satisfied with the writing and had some suggestions to make it even better, but in their words, those suggestions are just the cherry on top, I could submit today if I wanted to 😀

_on Wednesday, to celebrate our progress, Ben suggested to go to a standup comedy night in the city – so we visited Comedy Republic _ they had an evening where comedians tried out their new materials, so we were a bit afraid that it will be more awkward than great but we had great fun _ even their new materials were hilarious 😀 afterwards we dropped in our favourite cocktail place, just for good measure before heading home 😀

_our Friday was also full with stuff _ seeing that the weather is rather summary, and I am rather in holiday mode after my review, we went to the city and had a great brunch in Ben’s favourite café, then a coffee in another of Ben favourites 😀 afterwards I met with our PhD friends, Manow and Jaime for a coffee and waffles, but then I said goodbye to them because I had my conference presentation to Perth, to the ASA2022 conference which went well and people were really interested in my findings – which just felt great 🙂

_after such an eventful week, and with the even more summary weather, on Saturday we went to swim in the bay for the first time this season and it was just brilliant _ the sun was shining, the water was cold enough to be refreshing and the wind was blowing just enough to help us survive below the sun 😀 it was marvellous 😀 we had lunch near the beach where a dog wanted to have a share of our food but didn’t manage it because its pleading face was rather midly-interested than I-haven’t-been-fed-in-a-very-long-time-please-help-me and we have been better prepared through Lili (my old dog) than to be convinced by this performance 🙂

_hát ez egy igen vicces hét volt _ Bence kitalálta, hogy szerda este menjünk el standup comedy-re, találkoztam a barátainkkal pénteken, és nagyon izgis meetingjeink voltak a héten, szombaton pedig csaptunk egy eléggé szabadságos napot 😀

_természetesen haladtunk is _ Bence a kollégáival nagyon készülnek valami nagyon fontosra jövő héten és ezért most folyamatosan szervezkedtek, meg egyeztettek _ nagyon izgatott, hogy minden rendben menjen 😀 nekem megvolt az utolsó meghallgatásom sikeresen – a bizottságom elégedett volt a haladással és az írásommal, persze volt javaslatuk, hogy hogy lehet még jobbá tenni, de, ahogy ők mondták, az már csak a díszítés, akár be is adhatnám ma 😀

_szerdán, hogy megünnepeljük a haladásunkat, Bence javaslatára elmentünk egy standup comedy estére a városba, a Comedy Köztársaságba _ arra volt szánva az este, hogy az előadók kipróbálják az új anyagaikat, úgyhogy egy kicsit aggódtunk, hogy nem lesz vicces, de szerencsére dőltünk a röhögéstől 😀 utána, a miheztartás végett, még beugrottunk a kedvenc koktélozós helyünkre mielőtt hazaindultunk volna 😀

_pénteken is tele voltunk eseménnyel _ a nyárias idő és az én szabadságos hangulatom miatt bementünk a városba egyet villásreggelizni Bence egyik kedvenc helyén, amit aztán megkoronáztunk szuper kávéval Bence másik kedvenc helyén 😀 ezek után én elvágtáztam találkozni Manow-val és Jaime-vel, akikkel elmentünk kávézni és goffrizni, de aztán elköszöntem tőlük, mert mennem kellett előadni a Perth-i konferencián online, ami nagyon jól sikerült, az embereket érdekelte a kutatásom – ami csak nagyon jól esett 🙂

_a mozgalmas hét után, és a nyári idő miatt, szombaton elmentünk úszni az öbölbe és egész egyszerűen tökéletes volt _ a nap sütött, a víz kellemesen hűvös volt, a szél éppen hogy csak fújdogált 😀 csodás volt 😀 aztán megebédeltünk a környéken, ahol egy kutya megpróbált tőlünk kaját kunyizni, de a kéregetős feje inkább ilyen érdeklődő volt, mint a nem-láttam-kaját-három-napja-lécci-lécci-szánj-meg-valami-finom-falattal, amihez mi voltunk szoktatva Lili (kutyám) segítségével, szóval nem hatott meg minket annyira az előadása 🙂
