_to be honest, I don’t know whether this week was officially said as a heat wave but it was incredibly hot 😀 it was eased by the end of the week with storms, but during the week it was almos unbearable 😀

_fortunately, we did bear it, but it affected our work a lot _ during the day, it was really tiring to concentrate on the work while melting away 😀 regardless, both of us progressed also a lot _ Ben is backing up their whole workload with proper test environment (I think 😀 ) and by the end of the week he was really pleased with his progress, though, admittedly, the cooler temperature helped a lot 😀 I was also progressing and I wrote a lot into my thesis about the interview analysis, but it seems that I will write waaaaay too much for my thesis – I am not halfway writing out the analysis and I have already achieved the required number of words, which is not good, because I want to write even more 😀 one of our friends said that if this is the case, then I am done with the thesis, right? well, no, because though in quantity, I achieved the required amount, but in content, I have so much to write more 😀 

_I also had a meeting with my supervisor about how these 6 months are planned in my head and in hers, and when I mentioned my word count she almost fell off her chair 😀 fortunately, I have found a solution which she agreed on, so that is settled, but later in the meeting when we were talking about something else and looking at the Candidature Handbook (yes, we have one for the PhD 😀 ), we arrived to the official description of the thesis, Jeni pointed out the word count for me that I should really pay some attention to such descriptions 😀

_we also had our usual PhD lunch and all of our friends in Australia were hammered down with the heat _ Manow in Thailand was scouting in her house because her husband was giving a lecture in her room so we finally had a sneak peak of the house and the garden which she showed us while wandering around and looking for a great spot 😀 Jaime is preparing for her review next week and she was tired with the warmth and the idea of the review – later during the week, she asked us to help with her title for the thesis and every one of us said that our brains are not working properly in this heat 😀

_we also wanted to have the great day closure on Wednesday with a swim in the bay but the elements said nope 😀 there is a construction on the route to the shore, which made the journey twice as long, during which the first storm arrived _ it would have been great as a cooling effect, but everything was just humid 😀 then we arrived to the beach where the water was black instead of the usual blue – we still went in but the experience was not great _ we figured it was maybe due to the storm, but still, it was disgusting _ well, not every experience should go great, I guess 😀

_based on the weather, this week and last week’s actionfull weekend, we decided to have a low key one, as the rain promised itself, though of course did not arrive _ still, the chill was great in the cooler temperatures (over 28 degress still 😀 )

_hát, őszintén, nem tudom hogy hivatalosan ez kánikula volt-e, de elképesztően meleg volt 😀 a hét vége felé csökkent már zivatarokkal, de hét közben szinte elviselhetetlen volt 😀

_szerencsére azért viseltük valahogy, de azért kihatott a melóra: nap közben nagyon nehéz volt koncentrálni olvadás közben 😀 ennek ellenére haladtunk egy csomót _ Bence azon fáradozott hogy a teljes feljesztő környezetüket megfelelően teszteljék (azt hiszem 😀 ) és a hét végére elégedett is lett a haladással, bár bevallottan a hidegebb hőmérséklet segített 😀 én is haladtam és írtam egy rakatot a tézisembe az interjúk elemzéséről, bár úgy tűnik, hogy túl sokat fogok írni – még nem vagyok felénél az analízisnek, de már meghaladtam a szükséges szavak számát, ami eléggé nagy gond, mert még egy csomót akarok írni 😀 egyik barátunk mondta, hogy dehát akkor készen is vagy, nem? hát nem, mert lehet, hogy mennyiségre megvagyok, de tartalomból még rengeteg van amit akarok írni 😀

_volt egy meetingem is a témavezetőmmel a következő hat hónapról, ki hogy tervezte, és amikor mondtam neki, hogy hol tartok számokban, majdnem leesett a székről 😀 szerencsére meg tudtunk egyezni a megoldásban, amit kitaláltam, szóval megoldható a további írás is, de azért később, mikor már másról beszéltünk és mentünk végig a Kandidátusi Kézikönyvön (igen, ilyenünk is van 😀 ), és megérkeztünk a tézis leírásához, Jeni kiemelte a szükséges szószámot, hogy azért erre figyeljek már oda 😀

_persze megvolt a szokásos heti PhD ebédünk is és az Ausztráliában leledző barátaink mind el voltak pilledve a melegtől _ Manow Thaiföldön összevissza mászkált a házukban megfelelő helyet keresve, mert a férje épp előadást tartott az ő szobájában, szóval így végre egy kicsit megismertük a házat meg a kertet is, miközben mászkált 😀 Jaime meg készül a saját meghallgatására, ami jövő héten lesz és nagyon fáradt volt a melegtől meg a meghallgatás ötletétől is – később a héten kérte, hogy segítsünk neki egy izgisebb címet találni a téziséhez s mindegyikünk mondta, hogy ez a max amit tudunk, mert az agyunk nem működik ilyen melegben 😀

_szerdán megint akartunk egy király naplezárást csinálni úszással, de az elemek ellenünk döntöttek 😀 van egy építkezés az úton odafelé, szóval az út maga dupla annyi időbe telt, és közben megérkezett az első vihar _ ez jó lett volna, ha hűt bármit is a környezeten, de inkább minden csak párás lett 😀 aztán megérkeztünk a vízhez, ami fekete volt a szokásos kék helyett – úsztunk, de az élmény nem volt csodás _ kitaláltuk, hogy a vihar miatt lehetett, de attól még undis volt a víz _ nem lehet minden élmény csodás, nem igaz? 😀

_végül az időjárás, a hét meg az előző hét akciódús hétvégéje miatt egy csöndes mellett döntöttünk most, meg hát persze esőt ígértek, ami végül persze nem érkezett meg _ ennek ellenére, jó volt kicsit pihegni a hűvösebb hőmérsékletben (még mindig 28 fok fölött 😀 )
