_this week was AWESOME 😀 I mean, we had success on many fronts, we celebrated those successes properly as well, and even the weather was willing to show some sunshine_

_however, before I would jump in to the week, there are some events must be mentioned: Ben had his birthday this week, yesterday was my father’s birthday, today is my sister’s birthday, and tomorrow is my mother’s name day (something we celebrate in Hungary) – so happy hanuka for everyone here as well 😀

_during the week, Ben’s birthday was a little overshadowed by the other events, but the proper celebration of if will not be forgotten, and it will be his present in the near future with some road trip involving a Tesla 😀 he knows is it and he is more than excited about this 😀

_the week started with normal stuff (my setup was upgraded with an additional monitor from the uni 😀 ), working, preparing for my review, Ben solving problems in the job, me analysing interviews _ on Tuesday, Manow started the celebrations with her successful review (no surprise there), which we discussed in our PhD meeting on Wednesday _ Ben also went to celebrate his birthday with his friends in the evening and they had a great time wandering around the city in the nights, even visited a hidden Korean restaurant with great food _ Ben in the meantime was approached to have another project which really excited him, and one of his already existing projects seems to be moving forward_

_Thursday was my big day, which started with sunshine and a morning walk _ Ben helped me prepare for the review, and then we had a great lunch _ in the afternoon, the review went through with a great success: the panel members were satisfied with my past and proposed future progress, though mentioned two things: one was my productivity – I am waay too productive in writing (so much so that they did not detect the usual problems of international students not being able to write) and I should try to make my writing more concise making everyone’s life easier which I fully understand and agree (though to do so requires huge reorganisation in my head 😀 ), and two, the focus of my research being still too wide – though everything would be interesting, I may need to choose a narrowed approach to my final findings which I also fully understand but everything is sooo interesting 😀 but the whole review was great, they gave me good advice and feedback, and they were really appreciative about my appreciation of their previous comments _ so everyone was really satisfied 😀

_and to properly celebrate the successes and events of this week, we went to a fancy restaurant on the Yarra’s bank – we found it last week during our walk, and decided that this is the place to celebrate the week _ it is an Argentinian restaurant with delicious food, and although it was expensive, we received the quality appropriate for price and the celebratory occasion 😀 afterwards, we wandered around little more in the city because we were so full that there was no purpose hurry home, we could not have gone to bed with that full stomachs 😀

_ez a hét KIRÁLY volt 😀 mármint, sikerek voltak összevissza, amiket meg is ünnepeltünk, és még az idő is hajlandó volt néha napsütést mutatni_

_de mielőtt beleugrok a heti történésekbe, néhány eseményt még meg kell említeni előtte: Bencének volt szülinapja ezen a héten, édesapámnak tegnap, nővéremnek ma, és édesanyámnak holnap lesz a névnapja – szóval mindenkinek boldog hanukát itt is 😀

_a héten Bence szülinapját egy kicsit beárnyékolták többi események, de a rendes ünneplés nem fog elmaradni, és az ajándéka a közeljövőben meg fog történni, aminek köze van egy kiránduláshoz és némi Teslához 😀 tudja, hogy mi a meglepi és már nagyon várja 😀

_a hét egész normális keretek között indult (az itthoni beállításaim nekem javultak egy monitorral, amit az egyetemről szereztünk 😀 ), meló volt, készültem a saját meghallgatásomra, Bence problémákat oldott meg, én meg interjúkat elemeztem _ kedden Manow kezdte az ünnepléseket a saját sikeres meghallgatása után (nem meglepő módon), amit aztán jól meg is beszéltünk a szerdai PhD ebédünkön _ Bence elment megünnepelni a szülinapját a barátaival este egy kis városban csellengéssel, még egy eldugott koreai éttermet is meglátogattak fincsi kajákkal _ mindeközben, Bencét megkeresték egy következő nagyon izgalmas projekttel és az egyik eddigi létező meg továbbindulni látszik_

_csütörtök volt a nagy nap számomra, ami napsütéssel és egy hatalmas sétával indult _ Bence segített mindent előkészíteni a meghallgatásra, aztán jól megebédeltünk _ és délután megvolt a meghallgatásom hatalmas sikerrel: a bírálók nagyon elégedettek voltak az elmúlt meg a tervezett haladással, bár két dolgot említettek: egyik volt a produktivitásom – túlságosan produktív vagyok írásban (annyira, hogy mondták, hogy a szokásos probléma a nemzetközi diákoknál nem is merül fel, nevezetesen, hogy kevésbé tudnak írni) és hogy kicsit visszafoghatnám magam és írhatnék tömörebben, ami mindenki életét megkönnyíteni a környezetben és ezt teljesen meg is meg egyet is értek (bár ez hatalmas átrendezéssel jár a fejemben 😀 ), és másrészt, a kutatásomnak a fókusza még lehetne szűkebb – bár minden nagyon érdekes lehetne, talán fókuszálnom kéne egy kisebb területre az eddigi kutatáson belül, amit megint teljesen megértek, csak minden aaaannyira izgalmas 😀 de az egész meghallgatás nagyon jó volt, jó tanácsokat adtak, és nagyon értékelték azt, hogy a tavaly adott tanácsaikat nagyon megfogadtam _ szóval mindenki nagyon elégedett volt 😀

_és hogy azért rendesen meg is ünnepeljük a heti történéseket, elmentünk egy burzsuj étterembe a Yarra partján – múlt héten találtuk és elhatároztuk, hogy itt fogjuk megünnepelni a hetet _ egy argentín étterem volt nyami-fini hamival, és bár drága volt, megkaptuk azt a minőséget amit az ár és az ünneplős alkalom megkívánt 😀 utána azért még elmentünk sétálni egy kicsit, mert nem lett volna értelme hazajönni olyan teli pocakkal, amúgy sem tudtunk volna még aludni 😀
