| _this week was really long – but we relaxed enough to be completely recharged on the weekend 😀 _
_the week was long for me because I was creating the recording for the international conference I will present _ since this is my first such occasion, obviously I wanted it to be perfect, and as all perfectionist will know, there is no such thing 😀 which is frustrating, but fun and I must say, the universe is trying to teach me something 😀 on Tuesday, I created the presentation, then on Wednesday I used Ben’s setup during the whole afternoon to record it a several times _ obviously, on Thursday, I realized that there was a mistake on the slides, and it is way too long, 17 minutes instead of the 10 minutes 😀 so I did again some takes, but nothing seemed to work, so in the afternoon and reconstructed the presentation, Ben helped me to create a macro for it (this will save a lot of time for me in the future!!!! I am so grateful for this), and then on Friday I did the final takes, edited and then sent to my supervisory team asking for their approval – adding that I do not wish to change it at all unless there is a huge problem with it 😀 they did not have anything, so at least I can say that it is finally over _ and I did not even mentioned the unfriendliness of Windows sometimes… _but it is ready, after I finish this post, I will send it in 😀 and I must say, Ben was amazingly helpful during this week (as well), he let me use his set up (it is much more professional, and created to have business meetings as he has those every week), and listened to the presentation while I took the recordings and then to check it when I asked, so I am just really grateful for his help 🙂 not to mention that beside my hijacking his week, he was still able to progress with his own work, which is just marvelous 🙂 _ _beside the recording, I also had an interview which was really interesting and we also had our usual meeting with our friends – one of them made us a huge favour _ she was working on campus on Wednesday, and we ask her to sneak into our office and bring the rechargeable batteries and their charger out – she was like a ninja 😀 I wanted to get in for ages, and it seemed to be solved but then someone said that you are only allowed to the office if you are doing essential research and you need the campus to do so – since I am not doing that, it is almost impossible to go in, which is fine, I can work from home, but some stuff I have in the office – I will need them sooner or later, and since March, I could not go in _ so our friend was amazing to this for us, and we met afterwards, and we hugged and it was so weird (we are really not used to do this anymore) and good at the same time 😀 _additionally, I went to the dentist this week, and first of all: Dad, thank you for the electric toothbrushes we got from you 2 Christmas ago _ the dentist said there is no problem at all, and he cannot really do much (I was not really expecting much, this was just a check-up and clean, but still, it was good to hear 😀 ) but, just for good measure he tortured me just for a little with some medieval tools camouflaged as really modern stuff 😀 the real great event with this tour, however, was not the dentist, but a lizard which was laying on the stone wall on the route to the dentist _ there are signs that beware of snakes, but this was the first reptile I saw there (and it was much better to see then a snake….) _ Ben said we should take it home because it seems so friendly!!!! (everyone can decide for themselves through the pictures) _ we did not adopt it, but it was still there enjoying the warm stone when I was walking back – it was really a chill dude 😀 _ _and after this whole week we originally planned to have a roadtrip to Frankston, but on Saturday morning we decided to have a lazy day _ we were using the whole day just to recharge our batteries, meaning cooking, organising and tidying up 😀 , painting, and plotting our bee feeder “field” to the balcony – the plants seem to enjoy their bigger place, and the sunshine, so it was a good decision 🙂 _you can find the pictures from this week through this link_ |
_hát ez egy hosszú hét volt – de eleget pihentünk a hétvégén ahhoz, hogy teljesen feltöltődjünk 😀 _
_azért volt hosszú a hét, mert épp megcsináltam az előadásomat a nemzetközi konferenciára _ mivel ez lesz az első ilyen alkalom, persze tökéletesre akartam megcsinálni, és ahogy azt minden rendes perfekcionista tudja, ilyen márpedig nincs 😀 ami egyszerre frusztráló meg vicces, és meg kell mondjam, mintha az univerzum akarna valamire tanítani 😀 kedden megcsináltam a prezentációt, szerdán fel is vettem többször Bence helyét egész délutánra befoglalva _ persze csütörtökön észre is vettem egy hibát a prezentációban, meg túl hosszú is volt, 17 perc a 10 helyett 😀 úgyhogy újra felvettem néhányszor, de nagyon működtek a dolgok, így délután újracsináltam a prezentációt, Bence megtanított macrot használni (ami rengeteget fog segíteni nekem a jövőbeni előadásoknál!!! olyan hálás vagyok érte), és aztán pénteken megcsináltam az utolsó felvételeket, összevágtam őket, megküldtem a JIG gangnek, hoyg hagyják jóvá – mondjuk hozzá tettem, hogyha nincs nagy gond vele, akkor ezt szeretném beadni 😀 nem mondtak semmit, úgyhogy miután befejeztem a blogot, be is küldöm végre _ a Windows barátságtalanságait már nem is említem… _de, tényleg készen van 😀 és meg kell mondjam, Bence szuper volt egész héten, nagyon sokat segített (most is), megengedte hogy használjam az ő helyét (sokkal professzionálisabb mint az enyém, hisz neki minden héten vannak üzleti megbeszélései), és hallgatta a prezentációt élőben, meg aztán a felvételt is, ha kértem, úgyhogy csak nagyon hálás vagyok a segítségért 🙂 nem is beszélve arról, hogy bár egy csomószor eltérítettem a melójától, így is képes volt haladni, ami elképesztően szuper 🙂 _ _a felvétel mellett azért nekem is volt még interjúm, ami nagyon érdekes volt, meg persze megvoltak a heti szokásos találkáink is a barátainkkal – az egyikük egy hatalmas dolgot segített nekünk _ bent dolgozott a campuson szerdán, úgyhogy megkértem, hogy nindzsázzon be az irodánkba (egy helyen vagyunk) és szerezze meg nekünk az újratölthető elemeket meg a töltőt hozzá, amit bennhagytam 😀 már időtlen idők óta be akartam menni, és az utóbbi héten ez még megvalósíthatónak is tűnt, amíg valaki azt nem mondta, hogy csak akkor mehetsz be, ha ilyen kritikus kutatást végzel és emiatt van szükséged a helyre – mivel egyik sem igaz rám, nagyjából lehetetlen lett volna megoldani, hogy be tudjak menni, ami okés, mert itthonról dolgozok, de azért március óta elkezdenek hiányozni dolgok, amiket az irodában hagytam _ úgyhogy a barátunk szuper volt, még találkoztunk is utána, és még meg is öleltük egymást, ami egyszerre volt nagyon furi (nagyon elszoktunk ettől a dologtól) és jó 😀 _mindezek mellett, a héten elmentem fogorvoshoz, és mindenekelőtt: Apu, nagyon köszi az elektromos fogkefét amit 2 karácsonnyal ezelőtt kaptunk _ a fogdoki közölte, hogy nincs semmi gond és nem nagyon tud mit csinálni (nem nagyon számítottam semmire, amit csinálnia kellett ovlna, csak egy ellenőrző látogatás volt, de azért jó volt hallani 😀 ), de, csak hogy azért csináljon valamit, jól megkínzott modern cuccoknak álcázott középkori kínzóeszközökkel 😀 de a legjpbb dolog nem is ez volt, hanem egy gyík ami az út mentén élvezte a kőfal melegségét _ vannak figyelmeztető táblák az út mentén, hogy vigyázz a kígyókkal, de ez volt az első hüllő amit szabadon láttam (és sokkal jobb volt ezt látni mint egy kígyót….) _ Bence kérte, hogy vigyük haza mivel annyira kis barátságos!!! (mindenki eldöntheti magának a képek alapján) _ végül nem fogadtuk örökbe, de még a visszaúton is ott volt élvezve a kő melegségét – tényleg ilyen laza arc volt 😀 _ _és ezután az egész hét után eredetileg azt terveztük, hogy elmegyünk Frankstonba, de szombat reggel inkább úgy döntöttünk, hogy lesz egy lusta napunk _ az egész napot arra használtuk, hogy feltöltsük az elemeinket, ami jelentett főzést, rendrakást 😀 , festést, meg a méhlegelőnk kiültetését az erkélyre – a kis növénykék eléég úgy tűnnek, hogy élvezik a nagyobb helyet meg a napsütést, úgyhogy jó döntés volt 🙂 _a heti képeket ezen a linken keresztül lehet elérni_ |
